The Art Wearable Flowers | Floral Boudoir| Flowers and Body
We all wear clothing items made of a multitude of fabrics and, in some events, various non-traditional materials as well. Though I often create floral art etiquette that is meant to be worn as full pieces such as tops, dresses, etc. I also enjoy creating exclusive accent pieces that are meant to accentuate the nude body for art projects, exclusive photoshoots, and framed works of art. At the beginning of fall I worked on a project where I not only created wearable flower accessories for the client, but also had the chance to help make the full set for the photo session as well. For me art is in the details. and the many different ways in which one can convey a feeling or story through the composition of each piece.
For this project the client was interested in doing an implied nude photoshoot wearing floral pieces that would make a common boudoir session an elegant work of art. Keeping this concept in mind, the set was designed to represent a natural environment that felt less touched by modernity and civilization while also alluring to elegance and class. I worked with earthy props such as real firewood, vines, and moss which created gorgeous arrangements. The process took a number of days to plan and execute in order to achieve unique and stunning results. The day of the shoot, fresh flowers were added to bring warmer tones into the images as well as match the floral pieces I had created for the client. The design was adjusted to perfectly match her body and natural curves just as any other designer piece would. It is important to me that my clients receive unique pieces that are made exclusively for them.
The idea for this shoot was to show that implied nude images can be made to meet the same high fashion standards we often see in magazines. This project showed how wearable flower arrangements are designed to meet each look, theme, feeling, and can paint a picture and set the overall tone. This type of floral art is an exclusive service that can be added to any type of photo session style or even to wear on a night out. As seen with the end result of this project, the images are a true work of art. Furthermore, these products are eye catching on any occasion, making them the talk of the town. So what are you waiting for? Let me know how wearable flowers can bloom for you.
